Lower Lab was represented by nine (9) students this past weekend at the National Elementary Chess Championship in Nashville, Tennessee and fielded one team in the highly competitive K-3 Under 800 Section.

  •  Lower Lab was led by Ezra van Boxtel to a 2nd Place finish.

  • Lucas Mak participated in the K-3 Championship Section scoring 3.0 points.
  • Hana Kaloudis participated in the K-5 Under 900 Section scoring 5.0 points.
  • Maxwell Bieber participated in the K-5 Under 900 Section scoring 3.0 points.

Summer Camp Opportunities: Also, if you plan on being in NYC this summer, Chess NYC (the same coaches that teach our afterschool classes and attend and support our students at each tournament) support a number of chess camp opportunities that can help prepare us for next year.
