Citymeals-on-Wheels raises private funds to ensure no homebound elderly New Yorker will ever go a day without food or human company. Citymeals-on-Wheels delivers thousands of handmade cards to homebound elderly New Yorkers, along with their nutritious meals. Last year, Citymeals received over 60,000+ beautifully handmade cards, designed by children & adults.
This is a two-part community service activity for Lab students.
All Lower Lab Students are invited to create birthday cards for homebound seniors using the attached template. Please make sure to follow the guidelines in the attachment.
Cards can be backpacked to Emily Kim c/o Jane Kim 4-245.
Cards are Due on Monday Nov 7.
On Tuesday, November 8rd (Election Day- no school) 12 Lab students (open to all grades) will have the opportunity to deliver meals to homebound seniors on the the UES.
Carter Burden Luncheon Club

Time: 10:15am-12:30pm/Meal Delivery in the neighborhood.
Each child will need a chaperone.

If you miss out on this opportunity, please do consider making a card! There will be a new community service opportunity each month for Lab students. We hope this program will give many students an opportunity to learn the importance of community service in different ways on a monthly basis.
