We have been working to improve communications with you in ways that are efficient for our staff and tailored to your preferences.
Tonight we will activate a new system for managing email that will allow each parent to customize their subscriptions to updates posted by our staff.
We hope this system reduces the amount of email in your inbox and improves our communication as a community!
Your Blue Card emails have been automatically subscribed
We have added parent emails to our database provided to us on student blue cards. Everyone in the system has been automatically subscribed to receive a daily digest of schoolwide announcements posted to the ps77lowerlab.org website. We have also subscribed each parent to class updates from their children’s primary teacher, and bus updates if your child rides the school bus.
Managing and Customizing your subscriptions
You will be able to manage your subscriptions from the footer of any email you receive from this system. For example, many of you may want to sign up for updates from the specialty class teachers. You can do so by clicking the “update your preferences” link in the footer of any email you receive through this system.
If you’d like to add an additional email address not in the system, you can sign up and subscribe to updates using the new “SUBSCRIBE BY EMAIL” link on our website.
If your email is already in the system, the linked form will update your preferences when you submit.
If you were subscribed to the old system
Once we activate this system, those who previously signed up to “Follow by Email” on PS77LowerLab.Org will no longer receive updates directly from the site. All update emails will be managed by the new system as described above.
