Bottomless Closet serves economically disadvantaged New York City women who are in need of assistance in securing a job. Bottomless provides professional clothing, job readiness, and post-employment training and coaching services to women on assistance and working-poor women.
Location address: 16 East 52nd (15th Floor) Between 5th And Madison
FIVE Lower Lab 5th Grade students will visit Bottomless Closet and learn about the organization while sorting clothes and accessories for the clients. They will make good luck charms and write notes for the women who use the services of this amazing organization to reenter the work force.
If your child is NOT a 5th grader and you would like to participate in this project, please feel free to donate any of the following for the women who are served by Bottomless Closet:
Purses, scarves, accessories, jewelry, feminine hygiene products, sunglasses, travel size lotions, shampoos, perfume If they can bring purses full of the other items it’s easier and more fun too.Please feel free to include a ‘Good Luck on your job search’ note from your child to brighten their day.
