On Monday,August 21,2017 a total solar eclipse will be visible across the United States from Oregon to South Carolina.This will be the first solar eclipse to be seen coast-to-coast in the United States since 1918.In the city we will see a partial eclipse (about 70% totality) which will start at 1:23p.m.

(peak at 2:45p.m.) and end at 4:01p.m.

The American Museum of Natural History:The Hayden Planetarium will host a viewing event on this day from noon to 4:00p.m.
