How the Auction Works


• Please check in upon arrival. Every bidder must have a bidding number for the Live Auction items. Your unique bidder number will be printed on the back of a flyer you will receive as you arrive!
Bidding for Good
• Bids for Silent Auction items, Class Projects and Class Baskets will be made using Bidding for Good on your phone. The Paddle Raise Direct Appeal part of the evening will also be made through Bidding for Good.
• All bidding, other than bids for Live Auction items, will be electronic.
• Please make sure you are registered and logged in to www.BiddingForGood.com/LowerLab or via mobile site at https://bforg.com/LowerLab.
• At the top of the page, click “register” and complete the registration. Please click the register button at the bottom to save. (Or “login” if you have already registered.) In order to bid, you will also need to add a credit card.
Silent Auction
• Silent Auction lots are arranged by category and displayed on tables throughout the event space. The information sheet for each lot indicates the minimum opening bid and the subsequent bid increment. Bidders may bid in increments higher than the minimum bid increment, but not less.
• Bidders must use Bidding for Good to place their bid. You also must have a credit card on file to bid.
• To place a bid, simply type in the amount in the bid box. Select the type of bidding you would like to use. Straight (exactly this amount) and/or Proxy (up to this amount) bids. Click “Place Bid.” Click “Confirm Bid.” Done!
• You will know right away if you are the lead, or if another bidder’s maximum (proxy) bid was still higher than yours. If you are in the lead, you will receive an email or text letting you know if you’ve been outbid so you can bid again.
• To find a list of the items you’re currently bidding on, log into your bidder account, click on “My Items” link on the left of the page, then click on the “My Bids” tab.
• The winning bid is the last/highest bid entered that equals or exceeds the minimum bid increment. When the Silent Auction closes, winning bidders will be notified on their device.
• Please claim your items at check out after the live event is over.
Lucky Draw
• Guests will be able to purchase Lucky Draw raffle tickets and fill out tickets with their information.
• Tickets should be placed in the box beside the item(s) of the guests’ choosing.
• There is no limit to the number of tickets purchased, and bidders may increase their chances of winning by placing more tickets in the box of a specific item. Bidders do not need to be present to win.
• The odds of winning depend on the total number of tickets entered by bidders participating in the Lucky Draw.
Teacher Treat Raffles
• Teacher Treat raffle tickets will be available for purchase. Purchase a chance for your child to spend time with his/her teacher or favorite specialist.
• Entries must be filled out with treat number and child’s name. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be purchased. Winners will be drawn at the end of the evening. Bidders do not need to be present to win.
• The odds of winning depend on the total number of tickets entered by bidders participating in the Teacher Treat Raffles.
Live Auction
• Each bidder’s flyer will serve as his/her paddle with a unique bidder number printed on the back.
• The Auctioneer will announce the opening bid for each item and determine the bid increments.
• Bidders must raise their catalog with the number facing the Auctioneer to place a bid.
• The Auctioneer will acknowledge bidders and winners.  The winners’ credit cards will be charged and notification will be made by the following week. Please contact the Auction Committee for more guidance.
All Bidders acknowledge that they have read and fully understand the terms and conditions for the Lucky Draw and Teacher Treat raffles, as well as the specifics and the terms and conditions for each lot of the Silent Auction and Live Auction. It is the buyer’s responsibility to understand all the terms and conditions prior to submitting a bid. Descriptions of items have been made with every reasonable effort to describe them correctly. All items are sold “as is” and “where is” without warranty or representation of any kind as to the correctness of the description, authenticity, condition or quality for any purpose. By participating in the Auction, the highest bidder assumes full risk and responsibility and is expected to pay for the item. It is understood that all items and services acquired by the purchaser become the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Lower Lab bears no responsibility should any items become invalid due to foreclosures or changes in operations. The dates and times of mutual convenience for the donor and purchaser must be arranged within the specified time. Unless otherwise noted, tax, gratuities and/or liquor may not be included in the value of gift certificates. Pursuant to Section 1116(a)of the New York State Tax Law, no New York State or local sales tax is required on purchases from Lower Lab. Payment in full by the winning bidder must be made prior to the conclusion of the evening. All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
