LL Cares May Project: Lung Force Walk in support of Lower Lab’s Bieber Family.
As you know, Tammy Bieber, mom of Mira (5th Grade) sadly lost her battle with advanced lung cancer in November. Mira and her brother Max (LL Class of ’16) are walking in their mom’s memory and to support LungForce’s efforts to raise funds for this research as well awareness that lung cancer is now the number one killer of women.
On May 19th, Lower Lab families will have the opportunity to join as a community to show our support for Mira and Max and walk in Tammy’s memory for the Lung Force Walk in NYC!

Meeting time: 9:00am (Info on exact tent location TBD). Walk begins at 9:30 am
Information about the walk:
The annual LUNG FORCE Walk – New York City begins at 9:30AM on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Pier 16 of the South Street Seaport. The 5k Walk route starts at Pier 16 (South St Seaport), takes you through downtown Manhattan, halfway over the Brooklyn Bridge and back to Pier 16. There is also an abbreviated 1-mile route. Participants will enjoy a light breakfast, and snacks and beverages throughout the event. During the Opening Ceremony, you will hear stories from LUNG FORCE Heroes and learn how your involvement in LUNG FORCE is helping the American Lung Association to make lung cancer history. After crossing the finish line, there will be a Closing Ceremony to recognize our top fundraisers and teams.
