If you are assisting as a driver please pull your car up to the third avenues doors Friday morning. Mr. Goodman and 5 Deloitte volunteers will be assisting and these cars will be leaving at 8:20 prior to the bus departures at 9:30.  Location is on Randall’s Island next to Icahn Stadium- soccer field #10.  See photo below. The weather looks to be hot that day but no rain is in the forecast!

If you have an opportunity to pick up some packs of mini bottles of water and bring it to the school we can transport water in the vehicles that are transporting equipment.

Thanks to all the families who have offered to assist in getting equipment over to Randall’s Island.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On Friday, June 8, 2018 our Annual Field Day trip will be taking place at Soccer Field 10 next to Icahn Stadium in Randall’s Island.  Due to the location of the field, we have secured yellow school buses to transport students and staff to and from Randall’s Island.  Departure from our school will take place between 9am-9:30am, and we anticipate arriving at Icahn Stadium by 10am.  Field Day is scheduled conclude at 1:00pm, with yellow school buses arriving at our school by -1:30pm.  Please be aware that all students must be dismissed from the school, and as a result children may not be picked up/will not be dismissed from Soccer Field 10 on Icahn Stadium.

We are happy to announce that we are continuing our partnership with Deloitte’s Impact Day and these volunteers will assist our staff as we make our way to our assigned location. Deloitte volunteers will be assigned to different classes for the bus ride.  In addition to the Deloitte volunteers, this school year, we are asking for 3 parent-chaperones per class.

During the day, Mike Goodman will facilitate a series of games and activities for all students by grade-level including potato sack races and relays.  To facilitate the outdoor activities, on the morning of Field Day each child will receive a color-coded wrist band that will determine his/her team.  The Deloitte Impact Day volunteers and Teacher Assistants will oversee each of the organized activities.

Screen Shot 2018-05-23 at 11.24.26 AMSpecial Field Day t-shirts will be provided thanks to a grant from Deloitte Impact Day! We anticipate that these shirts will be distributed to students on Wednesday, June 6; this is dependent on the shipment of this order.  We ask that families please make sure that all children wear their Field Day t-shirts to school on Friday, June 8.  Any students who are absent on June 6th will receive their t-shirt on the morning of the trip and will be provided time to change into their shirt.
