Find out how you can help us help Lower Lab!
The easiest way to support Lower Lab School is to donate to the Pledge Drive. The Pledge Drive is the PTA’s only ongoing fundraiser that runs at no cost. All of the donations pay for our teaching assistants, as well as enrichment activities like dance, chess, music, language, and technology. Funds from our families also pay for our teachers’ professional development which enhances what our children learn every single day. The PTA always sets a goal for 100% participation for our families, regardless of the amount of the contribution.
You can click here to donate by credit card or send a check to the PTA Mailbox in the main office marked ATTN: Pledge Drive – please include your child(ren)’s name and class.
The Lower Lab PTA also qualifies for most corporate Matching Gift programs. Feel free to contact the PTA for any assistance to see if your employer participates, or for filling out forms.
PTA-Run “Fun” and Fundraisers
Our PTA hosts events throughout the year to raise funds and to celebrate and enhance our community spirit.
– Auction – Our annual spring auction is the largest social event of the year – and our biggest fundraiser. It is an “adults-only” night of fun, food and bidding on goods and services for experiences around our city and the world!
– Book Fairs – Each spring and fall, the PTA hosts an in-school book fair that coincides with parent/teacher conferences. Families buy books for their own personal bookshelves and for classroom libraries.
– Fall Fair/Spring Fling – For our Fall Fair and Spring Fling events, the school yard becomes a carnival of games, rides, activities, entertainment, food and vendors. It’s a fantastic way to kick off the year and then, in the spring, to celebrate all of the students’ accomplishments.
– And More… We host a fabulous Halloween Party, an ice skating night, two yearly movie nights in our auditorium, a Variety Show showcasing the talents of our students, as well as an International Night in collaboration with our friends at PS 198.
