Lower Lab students enjoy numerous field trips. Make sure to turn in the required permission slip by the designated date to your teacher in order for you child to attend the class trip. They will not be able to go if a form has not been filled out. Each field trip is organized by each teacher.
Some trips occur during the lunch periods therefore it is important to refer to the permission slip if your child will need to bring a brown bag lunch and beverage from home that day. Volunteering to go as a chaperone is a great way to get to know your child’s classmates and teacher, and offers an opportunity to share a special experience with your child and classmates. The teacher and class parent will coordinate the specific number of chaperons needed for each trip and will rotate parent’s attendance request to give everyone an equitable opportunity to all. Please remember—you are coming as a teacher’s helper and will be assisting with the whole class. A parent or relative may not take the child’s sibling out of another class to attend the trip with the student. Persons under the age of 18 are not allowed to accompany a child on a class trip.
